The origins of Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp

On September 12, 1970, the world changed. Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp debuted on ABC. Seriously, my world changed.

Dig it: There were monkeys on TV! Wouldn't your life change, too?

That most excellent chronicle of The Golden Age of TV, TVParty!, has a section devoted to Lancelot Link. Part Two includes the entire "Lancelot Link and The Evolution Revolution" album in Real Audio format.

Another section includes an article on Mike Marmer and Stan Burns, the gentlemen who created Lance, Mata Hari, Professor Darwin, and the rest of the cast of Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp. This is chronicled in a video entitled I Created Lancelot Link.

I encourage all Frank fans to review the info in the linked pages. You never know when it might come in handy.

While watching Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp, I remember an advertisement for flavored sugars called SUGAH DUGAH, or something like that. The chimps were in the commercials. It was banana, graape or strawberry flavored sugar. It came in containers that looked like big salt shakers. Does anyone remember?
